POLIS DISTORTIONS​

This portfolio is consisted of pictures taken in Athens in the turn of 20th century.

All images have been post-processed in order to give the sense of a distorted cityscape. 

Posters, dirty shop windows, bizarre building views and unexpectedly empty streets of a modern metropolis reflect a weird shine based on highlights increment.  In addition, images are fractured by the texture of a grainy film and the virtual printing on “painting” canvas.

Is the result a believable city projection? Or does this really matter? Anyway, the inevitable symbolisms that result from images lead to individual approaches and connotations. With all this human biodiversity on the planet and its counterpoint to the surrounding landscape, how can someone put a dot into his thoughts?
